Notes:Change in price is the change since the last report. Prices are estimates based on delivery to dairy farms with allowance for freight, storage, and marketing costs, but exclusive of GST. Wheat prices are for the relevant stockfeed wheat available in a region (ASW, AGP, SFW1 or FED1) and F1 for barley.
- Wheat: Steady ($310 to $320/tonne). Barley: Steady ($245 to $255/tonne). Maize: Steady ($370 to $380/tonne). Oats: Steady ($275 to $285/tonne).
- Planting across SA has picked up the pace following recent rainfall, though more is needed in order to improve crop future markets with low levels of moisture reported across much of the state.
- Wheat values have remained firm with support from offshore futures.
- Barley prices have firmed slightly this week, with sowing beginning to wrap up, there could be an increase in grower selling of old crops which may put some downward pressure on prices.
