A range of insect pests affect dairy farm pastures in southern Australia. These pests may include:
- African black beetle
- Black-headed cockchafer
- Crop and pasture mites
- Red-headed cockchafer (external site)
- Red-legged earth mite
- Lucerne flea
- Slugs and snails
