Please join us in the Mid North Coast for this interactive series of on-farm workshops reviewing strategic and operational calf rearing management in your dairy farm business.

This workshop series will be delivered by Dr Carl Hockey (RuralVet Pty Ltd) over 2 x 4-hour facilitated on-farm sessions,building upon the Rearing Healthy Calves Fundamentals course.

Participants will examine their own calf rearing operations to identify areas for improvement. At the completion of this review, they will be encouraged to develop a farm action plan to support achievement of their specific calf rearing goals.

Participants will work through the following aspects of calf rearing over the two sessions:

Preparation for calving
Management of calf environment - including biosecurity
Colostrum management
Nutrition - including weaning
Dairy calf pathways
Calf husbandry - including identification
Calf health management

At the on-farm workshops, you will have the opportunity to share experiences with other participants as they explore ways to overcome roadblocks to improving calf rearing management on their farms.
