In recent years we have seen a stagnation in overall herd reproductive performance across our dairy regions, while some herds are performing well, others are lagging, showing us that theres real potential for improvement. Alongside the current state of reproductive performance, we also recognise the challenges and lack of adoption of current Dairy Australia reproductive extension offerings.

The Repro Refresh project aims to better understand the current state of reproductive performance and the factors affecting it across Australian dairy systems through key data analysis conducted by Dr. John Morton. These findings alongside farmer and industry consultation, will enable Dairy Australia to better understand needs and shape the future of reproductive extension in Australia.
