Q Fever vaccination process
You cannot have the Q Fever vaccination if youve already had Q Fever.
The vaccination process has two steps:
- First appointment Skin and blood test.
- Second appointment (7 days later) Results are checked.
- If you already have Q Fever immunity, you wont be vaccinated.
- If not, youll receive the vaccine.
The GP will give you a card showing your Q Fever status (immune or vaccinated) and will add this to your record in the Australian Immunisation Register linked to Medicare.
