This workshop focuses on building a workplace that people want to be part of, starting with how new team members are welcomed and inducted into the business. First impressions matter, and the way expectations, values, and ways of working are set from day one plays a critical role in shaping the longterm success of a dairy farming team.

Facilitated by Irish consultant Nollaig Heffernan, the session will take a practical, handson approach to creating a positive and productive workplace environment. Participants will explore how effective inductions can set clear standards, build trust, and support strong working relationships from the outset. The workshop will also look at how everyday leadership behaviours, communication, and consistency help reinforce these foundations over time.

This session is suited to farm owners, managers, and team leaders who employ staff or are responsible for onboarding new team members, and who want practical ideas to strengthen their workplace and retain good people.

A light lunch will be provided.
