Presenter
Cindy Lucas Contract Calf Rearer & Calf Rearing Specialist
Cindy Lucas brings more than 15 years of hands-on experience in calf rearing across multiple dairy operations in Victoria. A latecomer to the dairy industry following a varied career, Cindy began contract calf rearing in 2009 and, over the next decade, reared 500600 calves per year for up to seven different dairies.
In 2019, she transitioned to rearing calves on-farm for a large local dairy before restarting her own contract calf-rearing business in 2020 on a smaller scale. Today, Cindy balances contract calf rearing with her role as Calf Rearing Specialist at Daviesway DASCO, where she provides support to anyone rearing calves.
Cindy is widely respected for her practical, no-nonsense approach and her ability to translate theory into real-world solutions.
