Milking and Mastitis Management

This two day course provides dairy farm workers, managers and owners the opportunity to gain or refresh knowledge and practical skills to:

Identify, treat and reduce risk of mastitis.

Understand best practice for milking routine.

Manage milk plant hygiene to support good milk quality on farm.

The course, delivered by Dairy Australia Countdown advisor veterinarian Dr Xavier McKinnon, includes farm practical session on day two.

After completing this course, participants will have a good understanding of how and why mastitis infections occur and priority areas to address in the milking process for good milk quality on farm.

Morning tea and lunch provided both days.
