Milking and Mastitis Management

This two day course provides dairy farm workers, managers and owners the opportunity to gain or refresh knowledge and practical skills to:

• Identify, treat and reduce risk of mastitis.
• Understand best practice for milking routine.
• Manage milk plant hygiene for good milk quality on farm.

The course, delivered by Dairy Australia Countdown advisor veterinarian Dr Xavier McKinnon, includes farm practical session on day two. After completing this course, participants will understand why mastitis infections occur and areas to address in the milking process to manage milk quality on farm.

Morning tea and lunch provided both days.
