Did you know that once a cow is down, secondary damage can often be more critical in a cow's chance of recovery than the primary cause of her going down? Australian research has demonstrated that the quality of nursing is highly correlated to the chance of secondary damage occurring and to her final outcome. Therefore high-quality nursing must be started immediately when a cow goes down.

Join us at a practical on-farm session on all things downer cow management. This workshop will be facilitated by veterinarian Phil Poulton, who has conducted extensive research into downer cow management.
