Join us for a relaxed evening catching up with Dairy Australia's new Cheif Executive Officer, Matt Shaffer, who joined Dairy Australia in mid-2025 and Michelle Axford, recently appointed General Manager - Farm Delivery, Farm Delivery-Innovation.

Matt most recently served as CEO of DataGene; an industry-owned organisation focused on driving genetic gain and herd improvement in the Australian dairy industry. Prior to that, Matt was CEO of Holstein Australia and started his career in the finance industry for the US based Hancock Agriculture Investment Group where he played a critical international operations role.

Michelle has developed and led the implementation of extension strategies that delivered familiar initiatives such as the Good Bulls Guide and App, Genetic Progress Report, introduction of genomic breeding values and National Breeding Objective Reviews. She champions the role of farmers in effective research, development and extension design and delivery.Michelle and her husband own and operate a pasture-based, family-focused, dairy farm that prides itself on feeding our community.

Matt and Michelle are visiting the Subtropical region for a few days spending some time visiting farms and talking with local dairy farmers in the Sunshine Coast and SE Qld areas.

Dinner is complimentary to dairy farmers, their families and workers.
