Once a cow is down, secondary damage can often be more critical in a cow's chance of recovery than the primary cause of her going down.
Australian research has demonstrated that the quality of nursing determines the chance of secondary damage occurring and therefore her outcome.
Veterinarian Carly Brownlow from Cohuna Vets will discuss findings from Dr Phil Poulton's extensive research in downer cow management and facilitate practical farm session.
Attend this workshop to learn about the practicalities of implementing best practice downer cow management into your farm system.
