Join us for a new, practical workshop to learn the principles of profitably growing and utilising ryegrass.

This session is a hands-on introduction to how ryegrass grows, when to graze it, and how to manage grass for quality and regrowth. We will cover the theory in the comfort and warmth of the Dairylicious Farm Fudge Caf. Then, following lunch, we will head the short distance up the road to the Buckingham family farm. There we will put the theory into practice, using the Body of Evidence to assess pasture the cows have just been in and pasture they are about to graze.

What youll learn:

The basics of growing ryegrass

When to graze and why timing matters

Maximising quality and regrowth

The problems and cost of under and over grazing

Simple tips to boost pasture production and animal performance
