Euthanase Livestock - Far South Coast

A practical one day training course to support good animal welfare practices on farms.

The welfare of animals is a dairy industry priority. It is important that all steps are taken to work within the law to meet the high industry and community expectations and, most importantly, deliver the best animal welfare outcomes. This includes when we need to euthanase sick or injured animals.

The training includes practical instruction on the use of captive bolt devices, with a focus on operator safety and animal welfare.

Lunch will be provided. Please BYO chair.

This event is being held on-farm so please be respectful of biosecurity: Wear clean clothes and boots.

Please change your clothing and wash your hands if you have been in contact with farm animals on the morning of the event.
