Ways you can contribute through donations, goods and in-kind support
We have received many messages from people in the dairy community wanting to assist those affected by the Upper Murray bushfires. Here is a list of opportunities to donate cash and goods or to provide in-kind support.
Victorian Bushfire Appeal
The Victorian Government has partnered with Bendigo Bank and The Salvation Army to establish the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, with 100% of donated funds going directly to communities in need.
The Australian Red Cross
The Red Cross runs recovery programs and emergency assistance in communities affected by bushfires. They are currently supporting thousands of people in evacuation centres and recovery hubs across Australia through their Disaster Relief and Recovery program.
Your local brigade
You can donate directly to your local volunteer brigade for much-needed equipment and volunteer support. Click for details to donate to the Rural Fire Service (RFS) or the Country Fire Authority (CFA).

Labour, cow parking and milking facilities
Although access has not yet been granted for affected areas, Murray Dairy is collecting details of people offering labour, cow parking, milking facilities and other operational support for dairy farmers. Once access is granted, we will be able to match you up with recovery crews and/or farmers in need.
