Celebrating 100 episodes of DairyPod

Did you know that Dairy Australia’s DairyPod is the only national podcast available specifically for Australian dairy farmers?

Hosting experts from Dairy Australia and across the industry, including dairy farmers, partners and service providers, DairyPod episodes are always dairy farmer focused.

They deliver engaging conversations on current and seasonal issues and topics relevant to dairy locally and globally. The platform provides listeners with insightful and thought-provoking conversations – particularly for those farmers who are regularly seeking new insights.

DairyPod episodes cover a wide range of subjects. Discussions range from research and innovation to supporting employment needs. They also focus on climate and the environment, industry promotion and outlooks, farm business management – and much more.

You can also hear about the latest research in feedbase management and listen to industry analysts as they delve into Dairy Australia’s Situation and Outlook Reports.

Dairy Australia’s Principal Scientist John Penry is a familiar voice of DairyPod. John has been introducing episodes since 2021 and it is a role that is important to him.

“We aim to seek out a wide range of podcast subjects, including dairy farmers who share their insights and experiences,” Dr Penry said.

“It’s also vital that we continue to disseminate our research and development. This provides farmers with the latest industry innovation opportunities and helps them to keep their farm businesses sustainable and profitable into the future.”

DairyPod has seen 45,000 downloads and in 2024, celebrates its 100th podcast episode with How ag tech can drive value for dairy. This features Dairy Australia’s Head of Innovation Emily Samyue speaking with experts from Aurora Dairies, SVG Thrive and Alternate Energy Innovations.

If you haven’t already tuned in, DairyPod can be found on your favourite streaming platforms, such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Omny.fm. You can subscribe to ensure you get notifications of each new episode.
